GREETINGS STACK WORMS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! A lot has happened since my last post which was...over 4 months ago. So, the first thing that happened was my phone died, getting a new one was expensive but I officially have a smartphone now. Second, my barely 2-year-old laptop died on me and I didn't have money for a new one. We put it in to get fixed and they had it for a few months before returning it saying they couldn't fix it. Luckily, I was able to access a few things on my smartphone but wasn't able to write. Then my Twitter was hacked in late December and I didn't get it back until March 1st. I lost my Kindle charger so had to buy a new one, found out I bought the wrong one and had to buy another. Got that a week ago.  So, for 4 months I was without Twitter, my Kindle was dead, couldn't access Word to write, and I had no laptop. How lovely. I know I'm bitching about things that aren't really important in today's shitty climate but still, this is why I...

  Greetings Stack Worms!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I've missed you. Have you missed me? Wait, you haven't noticed I was gone? Rude! JK. I know I'm not funny.  Anyway, it's good to be writing again. I've been in kind of a slump since last May, sorry. But I'm hoping to get back into the swing of things.  Here is what I have planned so far:  January & February (Kaijuary is what I've coined it):  - The Kaiju Preservation Society by John Scalzi (my first Scalzi book). - Kaiju No. 8 vol. 1 (manga)  March 20 - June 21 (Twitterpated Spring) (I'll be reading indie romance): - Death Adder by Naomi Lucas  - A Deal with the Elf King by Elise Kova  June 21 - Sept. 22nd (Summer of Animorphs)  I'll try to get at least get 4 books read during this time.  September 23rd - December 21st (Fantasy Fall):  - Summon the Keeper by Tanya Huff  December 22nd (Cozy Winter Reads):  - The Girl in the Tower by Katherine Arden.  This list is subjec...

  GREETINGS STACK WORMS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! So, I kind of dropped the theme for December. It used to be Ghosts, then changed to Christmas Anthologies, and now I'm just going to do things having to do with the Holidays. Now, I celebrate Yule and Christmas. Yule for me is a religious day and Christmas is just a time to visit family. Which takes up a lot of days and energy.  This is what I tentatively have planned for December:  - Tinsel by Sibeal Pounder - Midnight in Everwood by M.A. Kuzniar  - Secret Santa by Andrew Shaffer  Some others I might read: - Hark! the Heral Angels Scream by Christopher Golden - The Bright & The Pale by Jessica Rubinkowski  I won NaNoWriMo.   GREETINGS STACK WORMS!!!!!! So, August's theme is Vampires. Why am I not saving it for September so I can add Empire of the Vampire? Because I already have something HUMONGOUS planned for September and October. Also, that's the year anniversary since I started doing monthly themed reads. I am both excited and scared for September and October reads. You'll see later.  Now, I sort of had a lot of reads planned for this month, but with September and October coming right on their heels I run the risk of burnout. So, I think I'm going to do like two books from this list:  - Necroscope by Brian Lumley - Space Vampires by Colin Wilson - Anno Dracula by Kim Newman  -  The Southern Book Club’s Guide to Slaying Vampires by Grady Hendrix - The Fell of Dark by Caleb Roehrig  - Once Burned by  Jeaniene Frost That's a lot, right? Right? 😁 I'm thinking for sure Necroscope and Space Vampires. If I have time left then I'll have to see what I'm feeling up to reading....

  Greetings Stack Worms!!! It's that time of the month when I reveal my TBR theme! Now, I know I've struggled the past two months with reading, but I'm super excited for this month's books.  For July I'll be focusing on books that heavily feature water/ ocean/ beaches. So, these aren't "Beach Reads" sorry if that's what you were looking for. If you want to suggest some beach reads I'll see if I have 'em and try to fit them in.  Here is what I have planned (remember this is subject to change due to depression):  - Fury of the Orcas by Hunter Shea - The Deep by Rivers Solomon - Kill River by Cameron Roubique  - MEG: The Graphic Novel adapted by J.S. Earls I think I'll start with Kill River. I want an easier read right now. Or maybe MEG first. I'll think about it.  I did finish Gideon the Ninth, review will be up tomorrow. Toodles! 

  Greetings Stack Worms!  Next month is PRIDE month so the theme for June is PRIDE reads. This means QUEER main characters and/or relationships.  This is what I plan on reading:  Amberlough by Lara Elena Donnelly  Gideon the Ninth by Tamsyn Muir In the Ravenous Dark by A.M. Strickland  Again, this list is subject to change. Especially, since I also have to read the ebook that I received from the publisher HellBoundBooks. I have started, but it's really difficult reading on a laptop in my living room, for long periods of time. I am Pansexual and my fiancee is a trans-woman. Whom I've been with for 11 years. We're in a mostly happy relationship. Of course, not everything is perfect and our mental health can get in the way sometimes, but we've put in the work so we're satisfied. We are Poly, though as of now it's just us two. So June is a pretty significant month for us and I'm excited to be doing PRIDE for a theme. And I hope y'all enjoy it as well!
