Book Haul/Writing Updates

Hiya. So, I got some new books in plus some writing news. Let's get started: 

- This Poison Heart by Kalynn Bayron (Owlcrate edition)
- Six Crimson Cranes by Elizabeth Lim (Fairyloot edition a bit dinged up)
- Graveyard Billy by David Irons (signed bc he's my main man...Nah but I wouldn't mind being friends)
- Power Rangers #9 by BOOM! Studios
- Mighty Morphin #9 by BOOM! Studios
- Godzilla: Monsters & Protectors #4 by IDW 


I'm thinking about doing "Reading Pet Peeves" blog. What do you think? What are some of your pet peeves while reading? Please, comment and let me know. 

I may have gotten hired to do book reviews for a digital magazine. I'm waiting for a list of books to read. So, I'm super excited about that. 

I still haven't heard anything back about my Frankenstein short story. This is the second time I'd submitted it. Does it usually take months to be rejected? I'm not sure. This is all relatively new to me. I have no idea how publishing really works. Yes, I know I'm a moron. 😓 Do you know of any anthologies looking specifically for Gay Horror? Should I wait to hear back before shopping the story around again? 


I am currently reading Necroscope by Brian Lumley. I'm not that far into it yet, but I am liking it. However, it'll be a while before I'm done with it. Possibly longer if I get that reviewer position. I think I'll start reading Lifeforce (the book) 😉 JK. The book is called Space Vampires (simple. straight to the point) by Colin Wilson. That way if Necroscope becomes too heavy I can take a break with a short pulpy book. 

I think that's it for now. Have you gotten any books or comics in the past couple of weeks? Would you like it if I added pictures for books? I can do that. I'm just not good at "pretty" pictures. GREETINGS STACK WORMS!!!!!!!!!!!!! Goodreads says I finished this in a week but it actually only took 4 days. I read Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Sundays. Why? Because I work the other days and I'm pretty tired after my shift. So, it always looks like I take longer than I actually do. This time I read Hellbound Books' Anthology of Splatterpunk. Again, I thank HBB for providing me the free ebook to review and for partnering with me!  I really love the artwork on this cover! I won't tell you which story it goes with (at least by my guess) because that would be spoiling the story and I haven't warned you about spoilers yet. That would be very rude of me. There are a whopping 24 stories in this anthology. And I like a lot of them I think. Not many two-stars and three out of five means I enjoyed the read. Just like last time this review will be a bit different and probably much longer than usual with 24 stories to go through. But I hope you enjoy. Let's get going!  SPOILERS!...
