TBR: September's & October's Theme: CLASSIC GOOSEBUMPS

GREETINGS STACK WORMS!!!!!!!! These next two months I will be reading 62 books! That's all of the Classic Goosebumps titles. And, yes, it was super expensive finding all of these. I know that's a lot and I've been having trouble reading lately, but these are short books with short chapters and I've already started Welcome to Dead House, book 1 in the 62. If my count is right that's a book every day.  Now, if you don't know, Goosebumps is written by R.L. Stine back in 1992. Which is the year I was born, so this series is as old as I am. Though, I am a few months older.😝 I haven't read the entire series but I am looking forward to it. I'm doing this because a friend begged me to.  I'm doing this on top of my reviewer position for Author's Porch. This will be fine. I can do this (I say knowing I quit last month's theme reading). Wanna read with me? Here is the list of titles in order:  - Welcome to Dead House - Stay out of th...

Reading/Writing/Book-ish Update

GREETINGS STACK WORMS! I, um, have halted this month's theme reading. Don't get me wrong I'm enjoying Necroscope, but the thing is that I have issues reading long chapters. I'm still on Chapter 1 and it feels like there are 50+ pages in just one. And it's just taking me too long to read, so I decided to just focus on reading Sekhet for the Author's Porch.  I got some books:  - 3 SCP special edition art books - Raybearer by Jordan Ifueko (Illumicrate Special Edition)  - Redemptor by Jordan Ifueko (Illumicrate Special Edition) - ARC: Dark Rise by C.S. Pacat (I was not expecting this, it just showed up, if I solicited for it I don't remember and I don't think I did because I'm not that interested in the story. However, I am excited that I got it. Does this mean I've arrived? Neh, I doubt it. I get no comments on this blog or on Twitter or Goodreads.) That's it for now. Toodles!  -Bug

Reading/Writing/Book-ish Updates

GREETINGS STACK WORMS!! I'm a mega-bitch today! lol  No, I'm not ashamed. Transphobia pisses me off so yeah I'm gonna take some down a peg if I can. See Owlcrate decided to no longer have Harry Potter merchandise in their boxes. Which is great because I kept skipping the monthly boxes if there was Harry Potter merch added. Now I don't have to worry about that anymore. Though, a lot of people are pissed off, saying that Owlcrate has bent to the minority opinion and are cancelling their subscriptions. I say, good riddance to bad rubbish. But I do wonder how Owlcrate will fair. If you ever thought about supporting Owlcrate and have the money, please go check them out here:  https://www.owlcrate.com/pages/owlcrate I got my book from The Authors' Porch it's called Sekhet by K.K. Weakley. I've started reading and I have...thoughts. Of course, I'll give it a fair shot. Seeing how much people like it on Goodreads then I'm ...

In Honor of Haruo Nakajima

Image
Greetings Stack Worms!  I don't usually write things like this (since this blog is about reading and writing) and it may seem shoddy. But today is the 4th year anniversary of Haruo Nakajima's passing and I want to pay tribute to one of my first heroes. Nakajima-sama was an amazing man that swept the nation by storm. His performance as one of the world's most iconic characters has inspired millions across nations.  I bet some of you are asking who is, Haruo Nakajima? Well my friends, that, is a long story. Harujima was a Japanese citizen born Jan. 1st, 1929 in Sakata located in the Yamagata prefecture. His humble beginnings as a stunt actor would put him on the path to his destiny!  Harujima was known for playing many roles, however, not always recognized. Usually, he was acting in a monster suit. You may know him for being the...
