Reading/Bookish/Writing Update

 

Greetings Stack Worms! 


I got a few books in these past few days. Also, I got in my Fairyloot and Nightworms monthly subscriptions.

Here are the books:

Shadow of the Vulture (Splatter Western #9) by Regina Garza Mitchell

Universal Studios Monsters: Creature from the Black Lagoon: Black Water Horror by Larry Mike Garmon

Universal Studios Monsters: The Mummy: Book of the Dead by Larry Mike Garmon

Dementia by Russell Coy (Came in Nightworms)

Dead Space by Kali Wallace (Also, came in Nightworms)

MEG: The Graphic Novel by J.S. Earls & Mike S. Miller (extremely hard to find. Had to get from amazon) (oh the shame!)

Mooncakes: Graphic Novel by Wendy Xu (another hard-to-find book but I got it from ebay).

The Prison Healer by Lynette Noni (Got in Fairyloot) (w/ gorgeous colored and stenciled edges) (colored edges is literally the quickest way of making me buy a book).

 

On to what I’m reading now: Burn the Dark by S.A. Hunt

This read will take a little bit longer than A Deadly Education. I have a deadline coming up for a short story, so I’m going to be taking a few days to finish that up. Gotta be turned in by the end of the month. If you’re curious: let’s just say gay Frankenstein.

GREETINGS STACK WORMS!!!!!!!!!!!!! Goodreads says I finished this in a week but it actually only took 4 days. I read Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Sundays. Why? Because I work the other days and I'm pretty tired after my shift. So, it always looks like I take longer than I actually do. This time I read Hellbound Books' Anthology of Splatterpunk. Again, I thank HBB for providing me the free ebook to review and for partnering with me!  I really love the artwork on this cover! I won't tell you which story it goes with (at least by my guess) because that would be spoiling the story and I haven't warned you about spoilers yet. That would be very rude of me. There are a whopping 24 stories in this anthology. And I like a lot of them I think. Not many two-stars and three out of five means I enjoyed the read. Just like last time this review will be a bit different and probably much longer than usual with 24 stories to go through. But I hope you enjoy. Let's get going!  SPOILERS!...

GREETINGS STACK WORMS!!!!!!!!!!!! Oh, my goddess, it's so good to be 'seeing' you all again!! It's good to be back! I know this year has been rough so far and I'm very sorry that we're all having to deal with Trump, Musk, and the fucking morons that live here in the US with me. For the first time today, I'm reviewing a children's book: Tomb for a Zombunny by David Myriad  First, I must thank HellBound Books, Lapis Lazuli Dream Press, and David Myriad for providing me a free copy to read.
