Godzilla Monsters & Protectors #2

 

Greetings Stack Worms! 

Recently, I got in the second issue of the IDW Godzilla comic. As a reminder, the format is Kenny (Cedric the mc) telling the story of him rescuing the world from Godzilla, on Me-tube via vlogging. 

In this episode, the shobijin are introduced as the priestesses of Mothra. Though the writers neglect to give Mothra her proper title of Goddess and are mum that the shobijin are faeries. Kenny is a bit more annoying in this issue by being condescending at the beginning of the vlog. He mocks people for wanting to know how he knew that element 131 harmed krill. But then I guess it's because he's a kid and I gotta work remembering that. The shobijin let the audience know that Godzilla is PISSED at humanity and is taking it into serious consideration of obliterating the species. So, they decide they need to find a kid (since they represent the next generation) to help make good environmental changes to help change Godzilla's mind. 

During this, we're transported back to the Liniville company and just what they've been doing to get back at Godzilla for destroying their power plant. Apparently, the companies scientists have gotten a hold of some G-cells. And they've cloned it with some plant and animal DNA. 

So, yeah, I guess that means Biollante is back...YAAAAAAAAAY!!!!!!!!! 

I'd give this comic 1 Godzilla Shreeonks out of 4. Because the characters still feel weak. The plot is picking up, but I think I might wait until I get the rest of the comics before really saying much about that. Art is still good.
